4-H AI Challenge

From improving crop yields and reducing food waste to supporting sustainability and innovation, the possibilities are endless, and we want to hear YOUR ideas! Open to youth innovators nationwide, this challenge combines STEM creativity, real-world problem solving, and the future of agriculture. Together, let’s imagine how artificial intelligence can grow a brighter future for agriculture. Winners will be announced during Computer Science week, the second week of December. Two Categories of 13-15 year olds and 16-18 year olds will be used.

Key Details:

• Open to youth in grades 11–12 from across New York State
• Participants do not need to be current 4-H members but must demonstrate a genuine interest in the livestock industry
• A reference from a non-family member is required and must be submitted with the application
• Space is limited to just 10 participants
• The program is tentatively scheduled to kick off the first weekend of December

Youth for the Quality Care of Animals (YQCA) is a national certification program that teaches youth how to properly care for their animals and is used across the country in 4-H and FFA livestock shows, fairs, and future agricultural careers. It helps young livestock exhibitors learn about animal well-being, food safety, and life skills that build responsible future farmers! Previous Livestock Experience preferred. Questions?
