The NYS 4-H Dog Advisory, in collaboration with the State 4-H Animal Science staff, is excited to announce the 2025 March Dog Madness! This year’s event will take place on Saturday, March 8th, from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The cost of the workshop is $25, which includes lunch and materials.

March Dog Madness is aimed at 4-H Teens, Volunteers, and Educators interested in the 4-H Dog Program. Please note that participants are not allowed to bring their own dogs; only presenters will have dogs onsite. For more details, visit https://bit.ly/4h66Oak.

The event is centered around the horse world, encompassing a wide variety of topics. Youth will be evaluated based on a specific rubric followed by constructive comments to help youth improve. Most 4-H Horse Program alums consider Horse Communications to be one of the most beneficial programs as it allows youth to learn and practice public speaking skills that can be used in the future. Dairy Discovery Workshop The annual Dairy Discovery program provides New York youth with fun, hands-on science-oriented learning experiences in dairy production and management topics that feature the unique facilities, industry professionals, and staff at Cornell University.

The statewide program for youth ages 14 to 19 years-old is held one Saturday in March. Youth learn will understand, observe and participate in technical skill training by rotating through a series of hands-on stations that focus on specific aspects of the dairy industry.
