All Aboard to the Fair!

4-H Farm & Family Fair & CCE Orange County invite youth ages 5–18 from communities in Orange County to experience a fun-filled, educational day at 4-H Farm & Family!

Thanks to the 2026 Transportation for Youth Grant, we’re removing transportation barriers and making it easier than ever for young people to explore farming, food production, and rural traditions.

Please Note the following:

  • Rain or Shine: This event will take place regardless of weather conditions, so come prepared for a full day of fun!
  • Registration:
    • Registration is required for all youth and accompanying chaperone. For more details, please view the FAQ below! Once registered, please take note of your selected group’s departure and return times in your confirmation email.
    • Registration will close July 13th. Waitlists will become available if buses fill.
    • Youth must be accompanied by a chaperone over the age of 18 years old.
    • Photo Release forms must be completed prior to pick-up.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

1. Who is eligible to attend the fair trip?
Youth ages 5–18 from Orange County are eligible.

2. How will we get to the fair?
Transportation will be provided by contracted school buses. Pick-up and drop-off times and locations will be shared with each group in advance.

3. Can parents or guardians attend?

Yes, accompanying adults are required to attend. Chaperones must be at least 18 years of age and can be responsible for multiple children, including relatives or friends. While youth engage in hands-on activities, adults will participate in separate educational workshops designed just for them.

4. Are strollers allowed on the trip or at the fair?
No, strollers are not permitted on the school buses. Please plan accordingly.

5. What are the hours of the event?
The fair experience takes place on Saturday, July 25th, 2026, with operating hours from 9 AM to 3:30 PM and 10 AM to 4:30 PM, including coordinated school bus transportation to and from the fairgrounds. There will be two rounds of busing operating during event hours, and bus assignments will be based on location and registration. Participants will enjoy approximately five hours at the fair, with travel time built into the overall schedule.

6. What kind of activities will the youth participate in?
Youth will engage in:

  • Guided tours of 4-H & FFA exhibits and animal shows
  • Hands-on sessions such as:
    • 4-H Activity
    • Master Gardener Activity
    • Family fun wellness workshop
    • Farmers market-themed nutrition activities

All activities are designed to be educational, interactive, and fun!

7. Will meals be provided?
Yes! Each youth participant will receive a lunch voucher for a meal from one of the food trucks at the Fair.

8. Will educational content be available in other languages?
Yes. Agricultural education sessions will be offered in both English and Spanish to ensure all participants can fully engage.

9. What should participants bring?
We recommend:

  • A refillable water bottle
  • Sunscreen and a hat for sun protection
  • Comfortable walking shoes
    Note: Please do not bring strollers or large personal items.
