4-H Natural Resources Program

• Fly Tying – wondering what fly tying is, it’s the art of tying string, yarn, feathers and other materials to a fish hook so that it resembles a type of food that fish eat. It’s also one of civilization’s oldest art forms! Ages 10 – Adult. Cost associated with this program.

• Butterfly Biology – each year we give youth an opportunity to explore the lifecycle of a butterfly. The primary objective is to teach youth how to identify a butterfly as insect and to name stages in the life cycle of a butterfly. Educational materials provided for an independent or group experience. Cost associated with this program.

•Entomology Program – designed for youth ages 8+. By the end of the course all students will not only have a good understanding of insects and other arthropods, but they will also have their own insect collection to keep for themselves! Cost associated with this program.
