2026 Dividing Perennials

Learn how to successfully divide perennials plants in your garden. The Justin Terrace Garden at our Education Center & 4-H Park in Otisville is thriving, which means that it is time to divide many of the perennial plants growing there.

We meet out in the garden and cover what plants can be divided, when and how to divide them, and how to care for them after division.They’ll be hands-on demonstrations and an opportunity for you to help dig and divide various perennial plants.

Please dress appropriately. It’s recommended that you bring gardening gloves and tools such as pitch forks, spades and trowels. Please bring a bucket or bags to take your divisions home in.

Each participant will receive three plant divisions.Additional plant divisions can be purchased for $5 a piece (cash or check ONLY!).

Fee

$10 per class / $0 per class (solidarity pricing for those who cannot pay at this time)
