Cornell Cooperative Extension Orange County is excited to announce our upcoming 4-H Calf & Livestock Sale on May 11, 2024!

Our 4-H program has changed over the years to include a variety of livestock projects, hence we have expanded this event beyond dairy to include those youth. We are currently collecting consignments of registered or non-registered dairy or beef cattle consignments, as well as sheep, goats, pigs, turkeys, chickens, and rabbits.

We're pleased to announce that this year's sale will feature Dave's Devil Dogs and Jeremy's Shake Shack as vendors!

Consignment Requirements

Consignment Requirements Reminder!

All registration papers and transfers must be in order before sale time

All animals being consigned must have the following veterinary requirements:

  • Certificate of Veterinary Inspection (CVI) for Interstate Shipment
  • USDA issued ID
  • Shipping Fever
  • Cattle over 8 months old tested for Brucellosis unless vaccinated
  • Goats over 3 months old tested for Brucellosis

All consigned animals must arrive at the sale in good health and free of ringworm or the animal will be sent home.

‏‏‎ ‎Commission Information

The commission for each animal consigned is 20% of the sale price, though we also appreciatively accept larger donations to support the Orange County 4-H Livestock and Dairy Programs.
