Join us to celebrate 100 Years of Orange County 4-H! In 1923, something special happened in Orange County…4-H was born! It started in a one-room schoolhouse in Coldenham. Over the next decades, thousands of youth grew and benefited from the efforts of volunteers and staff via the 4-H motto of “Learning by Doing.”
Alumni, volunteers, and staff members are invited to join us in the celebration, 4-H history display, and alumni challenge! The alumni challenge will be an opportunity for all alumni to use their 4-H knowledge and compete against one another to win the title of the "Alumni Champion!"
Schedule of Orange County 4-H Alumni Celebration:
Please Note: $5 parking fee
Registration is encouraged! Click here to register!
Can't participate? We are asking those who believe in 4-H to donate $19.23 over the year to help support the Fair and our new facilities at the Education Center & 4-H Park.
To help memorialize the celebration, the 1923 committee is seeking old pictures, old 4-H projects, and memorabilia, and testimonials from all Orange County 4-H alumni and volunteers to display a timeline of 4-H over the last 100 years. All items can be dropped off at the CCE Orange County office - 18 Seward Ave, Suite 300, Middletown, NY.
We also would love to hear and gather your Orange County 4-H memories! Please share them with us so that we may incorporate them into our 100-year celebration.
