The Minisink Valley Kiwanis Club generously pledged $11,000 to Cornell Cooperative Extension Orange County by presenting a donation to Lucy Joyce, Executive Director of CCEOC. The donation will go towards the continuing construction of Cornell Cooperative Extension Orange County’s Education Center & 4-H Park which is being built on Finchville Turnpike in Otisville.

“The Minisink Valley Kiwanis Club’s generous gift is an example of community support for the project and the continued enhancement of the quality of life for the people in Orange County,” stated Executive Director Lucy Joyce. “We are grateful for their donation and continued support of our mission serving the residents of Orange County.”

The Education Center & 4-H Park $7.5 million project broke ground in October 2013 and is being built in three phases. The Park grew out of a need to expand educational programs and experiences to meet the growing needs of the community in all areas of programming: Family and Consumer Sciences, Agriculture and 4-H Youth Development.

Cornell Cooperative Extension Orange County is the premier research-based cooperative educational system focusing its resources on current and future issues to positively affect agriculture, families and youth, environment, and economic development in our county.
