In 1923, something special happened in Orange County…4-H was born! It started in a one-room schoolhouse in Coldenham, New York. Over the next decades, thousands of youth grew and benefited from the efforts of volunteers and staff via the 4-H motto of “Learning by Doing.”
In celebration of our 100th Anniversary, we are having a “$19.23 for Orange County 4-H” fundraiser that will lead up to a big celebration in July 2023 at our annual Orange County Ag & Family Festival located at the Education Center & 4-H Park in Otisville, New York.
We're kicking off our 1923 Campaign for Orange County 4-H on Giving Tuesday on Tuesday, November 30th!
We are asking 4-H alumni, volunteers, and those who believe in 4-H to donate $19.23 in each of the next 3 years to help support 4-H programming, the Orange County Ag & Family Festival and our new facilities at the Education Center & 4-H Park.
4-H makes a difference. Will you?
Stay tuned as we begin to share more Orange County 4-H stories throughout the campaign via our social media accounts!
