Programs offered by Cornell Cooperative Extension are research and strength-based, focusing on encouraging children to practice and develop the ability to self-regulate, which leads to greater collaboration and an enjoyable family life.

Discipline is NOT a Dirty Word – a program to support parents and caregivers with resources and tools

WHEN: Wednesdays, May 27 & June 3, 2020 @ 6:30 PM – 8:00 PM

This 2-week virtual parenting workshop will focus on supporting parents and caregivers create nurturing environments in their home with the help of positive discipline tools.

What you will learn:

  • Different parenting styles and which one style works best for you and your child
  • Why children behave the way they do
  • Effective communication and conflict resolution
  • How to set realistic limits
  • How to support social and emotional development in your child
