1923 Fundraising Campaign for 4-H

In 1923, something special happened in Orange County…4-H was born! 

It started in a one-room schoolhouse in Coldenham. Over the next decades, thousands of youth grew and benefited from the efforts of volunteers and staff via the 4-H motto of “Learning by Doing.”

In celebration of our 100th anniversary, we are having a “$19.23 for Orange County 4-H” fundraiser that will lead up to a big celebration at the 2023 The Country Fair which will be held in July. We are asking 4-H alumni, volunteers, and those who believe in 4-H to donate $19.23 over the year to help support the Fair and our new facilities at the Education Center & 4-H Park.

We also would love to hear and gather your Orange County 4-H memories! Please share them with us so that we may incorporate them into our 100-year celebration.
