Community Gardens in Orange County New York
There are many community gardens located throughout Orange County. Many of them rent out plots so people can grow some of their own food. Many of them also produce food to be donated to local food banks, food pantries, and Cornell Cooperative Extension Orange County Gleaning Program .
The Orange County Master Gardener Volunteers provide support to six community gardens throughout the county. In 2020, these community gardens:
- provided a safe place for over 100 adults and youth to grow food for themselves and others in the community
- donated a combined total of 5760 lbs. of fresh, healthy produce to local food banks, food pantries, etc.

Blooming Grove Community Garden

Grow Local Greenwood Lake Common Ground Community Garden
Location: 13 Poplar Street, Greenwood Lake, NY 10925
This is a combination members only shared garden with an open public space for perennials, workshops and festivals.

Marion & Lou Berkman Memorial Community Garden - Middletown

Warwick Community Garden and Orchard
Location: Warwick Valley Community Center, 11 Hamilton Avenue, Warwick, NY 10990
There are no individual plots. All members work together to plant, maintain, and harvest the entire garden.
Cost: $35 per year (includes garden and orchard)
