2020 Board Member Nominations

Shelly DeHaan

Shelly DeHaan – is the Director of Outpatient Diabetes Educations for the Greater Hudson Valley Health System - Orange Regional Medical Center. She earned her MPA from the College of New Rochelle. Shelly has been serving on the CCEOC Board of Directors for the past three years and currently serves on the Strategic Planning and Marketing Committees. She has served on the 4-H and Family & Consumer Sciences Program Advisory Committees. Shelly is serving in a leadership role with the American Diabetes Association, American Association of Diabetes Educators, and Orange County Diabetes Coalition. Shelly and her husband Christopher live in Warwick and have three children. Shelly spends her free time enjoying cooking/baking, hiking, and camping.

Scott Demberg

Scott Demberg – is an Environmental, Health & Safety Advisor with Cardinal Health in Montgomery. Scott is just completing his first 3-year term on the CCEOC Board of Directors. He has served on the Construction committee, is chairman of the Personnel Committee and is serving as Treasurer. Scott has been a member of 4-H all his life, first as a youth and now as an adult. He served as a 4-H Leader and is an active member of the 4-H Dog Program. He also served on the 4-H Leaders Association Board. Scott was awarded the Orange County 4-H Build a Dream Award last year from CCE 4-H.Scott is also serving on the Executive Leadership Team of the American Heart Association and is Past Chief and President of Minisink Hose Company. Scott and his wife Shawn live in Westtown with their two children. He is an avid collector of antique cars, toys and automobilia.

Richard Mayfield

Richard Mayfield – currently serves as the State Director of Rural Development for the United States Department of Agriculture. Rich has extensive experience in government and economic development. In 2013, he was appointed as Orange County’s Community Development Director and previously served as the county’s Director of Operations. Rich joined the county in 2007 as the Press Secretary and Assistant to the County Executive for then County Executive Ed Diana. A lifelong Orange County resident, Mayfield served as district director for Rep. Ben Gilman for 12 years, and as director of the Office of Inter-Governmental Relations with the New York State Assembly, before joining county government. Rich is a board member of United Way and Meals-on-Wheels; serves as Sergeant with New York Guard and previously as board member for the Cancer Society and Zoning Board of Appeals. Rich resides in Newburgh with his wife, Deborah and enjoys playing the trumpet.

Wynn Klosky

Wynn Klosky – is Program Manager for the West Point Writing Program, the Mounger Writing Center, and the Writing Fellows Program at West Point. Wynn earned her B.S. from Radford University and is currently pursuing her MBA. She is a long-serving member of the Planning Board in the Village of Cornwall-on-Hudson, served as director for National Youth Leadership Training (NYLT) for many years, and presently serves as a trainer and mentor with NYLT Leadership Academy, Girl Scouts Heart of the Hudson Council, and Hudson Valley Boy Scout Council. Her family has been involved in Extension since the 1960s and 4-H over the years. Wynn and her husband, Dr. J. Ledlie Klosky, P.E., reside in Cornwall-on-Hudson along with their two children (one currently attending Cornell). Wynn enjoys gardening, beekeeping, maple sugaring, keeping chickens, hiking, and camping.

Noel C. Spencer, EA, LUTCF, MBA, BBA, AAS

Noel C. Spencer, EA, LUTCF, MBA, BBA, AAS – born in Jamaica, W.I., he migrated to New York to pursue his education. Noel earned his MBA in International Finance from St. John’s University and his BBA in Accounting & Finance with a minor in Taxes from PACE University. Noel is the President of Spencers Financial and a Registered Representative (RR) responsible for managing a portfolio for a diverse group of clients. He served as a board member previously for three years; chairman for Strategic Planning Committee and served on Finance and Personnel Committees. Noel also served as an Orange County Legislator for four years; member of Chester Town Board, Leadership Orange, and Orange County Citizens Foundation. Noel and his wife, Patricia E. Miller-Spencer, D.D.S. and two children reside in Chester. Noel enjoys traveling to track meets and racing model cars.
