THIS CLASS HAS BEEN CANCELLED.

Cornell Cooperative Extension Orange County announces a Permaculture Nursery Workshop for growers of any level.

Join Sean Dembrosky of Edible Acres (www.edibleacres.org) to learn about how a permaculture focused nursery model can be integrated into your existing homestead, farm or garden. With over 12 years of experience operating a perennial, permaculture, food forest plant nursery, Sean has developed a number of approaches and systems that are incredibly low cost, easy to implement, resilient and profitable.

We’ll talk about specific planting and propagating techniques used at the nursery that are easy and accessible.Strategies for finding venues for sales as well as alternative value systems like bartering and trade will be explored. We’ll share ideas on how to design and implement a nursery model into whatever existing farm or garden you have, and ways to have it be functional, ethical, profitable and enjoyable early on while producing a tremendous amount of plant material for sale or use on site.
