Ways to Give

Cornell Cooperative Extension Orange County is a 501 (c) (3)tax-exempt, charitable organization whose mission is to make a difference in people’s lives and communities by bringing local experience and research-based solutions together. The funds raised are to build the new “Education Center and 4-H Park”, better known as “The Park”. This facility will be an all encompassed environment to help continue to serve the residents of Orange County through educational opportunities in the areas of 4-H Youth Development, Agriculture and Family & Consumer Sciences.

Gifts to Cornell Cooperative Extension can be made in many forms. Large or small, in cash, securities, or real estate, made outright or provided for in a will or trust, donated in memory of, or in tribute to a friend or loved one – each gift is gratefully received and is tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law and your own tax circumstances.

Cornell Cooperative Extension values individuals and organizations that invest in Cornell Cooperative Extension Orange County through their gifts. We will recognize your gift in many ways. You will receive acknowledgement and listing in our newsletters and Annual Report. You will receive an invitation to special Extension events.

Special Support

Cornell Cooperative Extension Orange County has many buildings to build and name. In recognition of our generous donors, naming rights will be available for a building, room, garden, etc. throughout the Park. For your convenience, gifts made at these special levels may be pledged and paid over time. Click here to review current naming opportunities! 

Memorial Gifts/Tribute Gifts

At a difficult time in our lives, we often think of making Memorial or Tribute Gifts as gestures of love, remembrance and appreciation to someone in our lives. Cornell Cooperative Extension Orange County has many opportunities available for Memorial Gifts/Tribute Gifts such as chairs, benches, picnic tables/areas, or specific areas that acknowledge a family member or loved one. Matching Gifts

Many corporations and businesses encourage philanthropy by matching employee donations. For example, if you made a $100 donation to Cornell Cooperative Extension Orange County, your employer might match that and also contribute $100. Please ask your Human Resources Department if they offer a matching gift program.

Gifts-In-Kind

Throughout the year Cornell Cooperative Extension Orange County conducts events and seeks donations of goods and services to be used as auction ideas, giveaways or prize or building materials for “the Park”. For example, gift certificates for restaurants, beverages and snacks for the Duck Derby, prizes, etc. If you would like to discuss an opportunity to support through a Gift-In-Kind donation, please contact the Extension Office.
