Goldstein, Lieberman & Co. Provides a Helping Hand to Cornell Cooperative Extension Orange County

Otisville, NY - Phillip E. Goldstein, Managing Partner of Goldstein, Lieberman & Company LLC, Benjamin Mills, Partner, and Lisa Marshall, Controller, recently visited Cornell Cooperative Extension Orange County Education Center & 4-H Park to make a generous donation as part of the firm’s Cares Program. The trio presented a check for $1,000 to Lucy Joyce, Executive Director of Cornell Cooperative Extension Orange County. The funds will be used to support the agency’s ‘Build the Dream’ Capital Campaign. Cornell Cooperative Extension Orange County is in phase one of building the Education Center & 4-H Park in Otisville, NY.

“The ‘Open House at the Park’ offered an opportunity for our donors and the general public to see the beautiful new multi-purpose barns and equine horse arena that has been built for use by our youth and family programs,” Lucy Joyce said. “The ‘Open House’ was a great way for the public to see the new buildings that have been completed and hear about the future plans for what will be a new regional educational facility.”

For over 100 years Cornell Cooperative Extension Orange County has been making a difference in the lives of residents by utilizing research-based resources of Cornell University to positively affect Agriculture, Families and Youth, Environment, and Economic Development in Orange County. When completed, the new Education Center and 4-H Park will allow Cornell Cooperative Extension Orange County to significantly increase its educational outreach, while providing a state-of-the-art facility for Orange County and surrounding communities. The vision is to build it in phases-which will include, when completed, multipurpose pole barns and enclosed barns, equine horse arenas, livestock shelters, camping areas, a greenhouse and a year-round office which will include meeting spaces and research fields.

“We are most grateful to Phil, Ben, Lisa, and all the good people at Goldstein, Lieberman & Company LLC. This donation will enable us to move forward with the completion of the Education Center & 4-H Park,” Lucy Joyce said.
